Responsibilities:
In-Process & Final Inspection: At different phases of the manufacturing cycle, conduct thorough physical inspections of components and completed goods in comparison to technical drawings.
Metrology & Testing: To confirm dimensional accuracy and material characteristics, use precision measuring tools (CMM, Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges).
Defect Documentation: Make sure that defective parts are labeled, separated, and quarantined by creating thorough Non-Conformance Reports for any deviations discovered.
Testing Execution: As required by the product standards, carry out specialist tests like tensile, hardness, or non-destructive testing.
First Article Inspection: To ensure that the production setup can fulfill requirements, execute and record FAI reports for new parts or updated procedures.
Calibration Management: To guarantee continuous measurement accuracy, supervise the master schedule for the calibration of all measuring instruments and apparatus.
Required Skills:
Blueprint Proficiency: Excellent comprehension of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) symbols and intricate 2D/3D engineering drawings.
Instrument Mastery: Practical proficiency with a variety of mechanical and electronic measuring devices.
Standard Operating Procedures (SOP): Strict adherence to shop floor safety regulations and standardized inspection procedures
An unwavering eye for spotting minute dimensional variations or physical flaws.
Technical Writing: The ability to create defect reports and inspection summaries that are straightforward for the production team to comprehend.
Experience: 0 to 3 yrs
