Responsibilities:
High-Volume Cash Application: Match bank deposit registries with matching payment vouchers with zero balance variations, then post both electronic and manual dollar allocations into patient account lines.
Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) Triage: Handle automated ERA batch files, clearinghouse routing inconsistencies, unaligned PLB (provider-level adjustment) offsets, and system mapping exceptions.
Explanation of Benefits (EOB) Analysis: Interpret intricate, non-standard handwritten EOB layout sheets from government and commercial payers, recording applied deductibles, contractual adjustments, and net pay-outs.
Validation of contractual write-offs: Ensure that insurance changes correspond with contractual fee schedules, carrying out legitimate write-offs while monitoring systemic overpayments or underpayments.
Financial Responsibility of Patients Splitting: Create unambiguous patient statements for copays and co-insurance, or transfer any remaining unpaid balances to secondary or tertiary insurance policies.
Experience: 0 to 3 yrs
Education: Any Basic Degree
