Job Description
Duties:
Database Schema Design: Create and execute relational database models with effective data structures and appropriate normalization.
Advanced SQL Development: To satisfy application needs, create intricate queries, views, stored procedures, and user-defined functions.
Performance tuning: Use appropriate indexing and query refactoring to optimize slow-running queries by analyzing execution plans to find bottlenecks.
ETL & Data Integration: Using programs like SSIS, Informatica, or Python scripts, create and manage ETL procedures to transfer and modify data between various systems.
Data Integrity & Security: Control user permissions and data encryption; implement restrictions, triggers, and transactions to guarantee data consistency.
Reports & Dashboards: Create intricate data sets for reporting programs like Tableau, PowerBI, or SSRS to support business intelligence initiatives.
Database Maintenance: Work along with DBAs to carry out recovery testing, backups, and availability/health monitoring.
Focus Skills:
SQL Mastery: T-SQL (SQL Server), PL/SQL (Oracle), or PostgreSQL expertise.
Optimization Tools: Knowledge of Database Engine Tuning Advisor, Execution Plans, and SQL Profiler.
Analytical Thinking: The capacity to convert intricate commercial logic into effective set-based logic.
Managing data types, null handling, and transaction isolation levels with precision
