Job Description:
Responsibilities:
CAM Programming: For multi-axis machines, use sophisticated CAD/CAM software to create and optimize toolpaths.
Blueprint Translation: Determine the most effective machining sequence by interpreting intricate technical drawings, such as GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
Tooling and Fixture Design: To guarantee part stability, use suitable cutting tools, holders, and inserts; create unique fixtures or work-holding solutions.
Process Optimization: To ensure optimal machine utilization, simulate toolpaths to identify and remove possible tool crashes, gouges, or excessive air-cutting.
Cycle Time Reduction: Adjust feeds, depth-of-cut, and speeds to strike a balance between high volume productivity and surface finish quality.
Post-Processor Management: Make sure the generated code is fully compatible with certain machine controllers by configuring and debugging post-processors.
Technical Support: During the "First-Article" prove-out, help CNC setters and operators by making any necessary real-time program revisions.
Experience: 6+ yrs
Education: Any ITI/Diploma graduation
