Job Description
Duties:
Database Design: Create and manage relational database schemas, such as tables, views, and indexes, to guarantee the best possible data integrity and normalization.
Stored Procedure Development: To automate business logic and boost application performance, create and optimize intricate stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
Query Optimization: To lower server load and speed up response times, examine and adjust slow-running queries utilizing Execution Plans and indexing techniques.
ETL & Data Integration: Create and execute Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) procedures to move data into data warehouses or between different systems.
DataSecurity: Put in place and oversee database-level security measures, such as roles, user permissions, and data encryption.
Reporting & Analytics: Work together with BI teams to develop intricate data views and extracts that drive financial reports and dashboards.
Troubleshooting: Find and fix database-related problems such data corruption, connectivity issues, and deadlocks.

Focus Skills:
Proficiency in at least one major SQL dialect is required for RDBMS mastery.
Performance tuning requires a thorough grasp of statistics, partitioning, and indexing (Clustered vs. Non-Clustered).
Schema Design: Mastery of Entity-Relationship (ER) Modeling and Normalization (1NF to 3NF/BCNF).
Advanced application of CTEs (Common Table Expressions), subqueries, and window functions (RANK, LEAD/LAG).
Tool Proficiency: Knowledge of version control programs like Git and IDEs like SSMS, Toad, or pgAdmin.
