Responsibilities:
SMT Line Management: Program and optimize the entire SMT assembly line, which includes reflow ovens, high-speed pick-and-place equipment, and solder paste printers.
DFM: Work together with the design and molding teams to make sure PCB layouts are optimum for injection molding structural stresses as well as SMT assembly.
Reflow Profiling: To guarantee dependable solder junctions and safeguard heat-sensitive parts that will be over-molded, create and maintain thermal profiles for reflow ovens.
AOI & SPI Oversight: Oversee Solder Paste Inspection (SPI) and Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) systems to find and fix flaws instantly.
Over-molding Validation: Test SMT components to make sure they stay functional and firmly attached after being exposed to the injection molding cycle's pressures and temperatures.
Required Skills:
SMT Machinery Mastery: In-depth programming and debugging expertise with companies such as Yamaha, Panasonic, ASM (SIPLACE), and Fuji.
Electronics Fundamentals: Excellent knowledge of solder paste chemistry, component packages (0201, BGA, QFN), and PCB materials (FR4, Flex, Metal Core).
Thermal Management: Knowledge of the effects of secondary heating throughout the molding process and proficiency in thermal profiling.
Precision Measurement: Knowledge of cross-section analysis and X-ray examination to confirm solder junction integrity.
ESD Protection: A thorough understanding of the procedures for preventing electrostatic discharge (ESD) in a manufacturing setting.
Experience: 2 to 4 yrs
