Responsibilities:
Machine Operation: To carry out milling, boring, and drilling operations, run preprogrammed sequences on Vertical Machining Centers (3-axis or 4-axis).
Loading and Fixturing: As directed by the setup instructions, safely load raw materials or semi-finished items into vices, fixtures, or magnetic tables.
Dimensional Verification: To make sure items remain within tolerance, do regular in-process inspections using precision instruments like depth gauges, micrometers, and vernier calipers.
Offset Monitoring: To ensure accuracy, keep an eye on tool wear and make small wear offset adjustments at the controller.
Deburring and Finishing: Make sure completed items are free of sharp edges and prepared for the following step by manually deburring and cleaning them.
Tooling Watch: To avoid part rejection or machine damage, locate and notify the Setter or Supervisor of any dull or chipped cutting tools.

Required Skills:
The capacity to read and comprehend simple engineering drawings and process documents is known as basic technical literacy.
Instrument Proficiency: The ability to use common measuring tools to verify measurements down to the micron level.
Mechanical Awareness: Knowledge of fundamental machining principles, such as the distinctions between a face mill, end mill, and drill.
Attention to Detail: The capacity to identify surface finish problems throughout the production cycle, such as scratches or chatter marks.
Strict commitment to shop floor safety, such as wearing safety glasses, protecting one's ears, and managing industrial waste properly, is known as safety consciousness.
