Responsibilities:
Line Programming & Setup: Create, debug, and optimize SMT machine programs, such as Pick-and-Place, Solder Paste Printing, and Reflow Ovens.
Process Optimization: To guarantee excellent solder junctions while avoiding damage to temperature-sensitive parts or plastic frames, monitor and modify thermal profiles for reflow soldering.
Maintenance & Calibration: To reduce downtime and guarantee placement accuracy, perform and plan preventative maintenance on SMT equipment.
Defect Analysis: To find and fix common SMT flaws including component misalignment, solder bridging, and tombstoning, use AOI and X-ray data.
Stencil Management: Create and maintain SMT stencils with the proper thickness and aperture for the best possible solder paste deposition.
Cooperation with Moulding: Make sure that the plastic housings or "overmoulded" components fulfill the necessary requirements for automated PCBA insertion by working closely with the Injection Moulding team.
Required Skills:
Automation Proficiency: In-depth familiarity with programming software and SMT machine brands.
Technical Blueprint Reading: Outstanding comprehension of intricate electrical schematics, PCB layouts, and mechanical designs in two and three dimensions.
Thermal Profiling Mastery: In-depth knowledge of the behavior of various solder pastes (Lead-free, No-clean) and reflow profiles (Ramp-Soak-Spike).
Analytical Problem Solving: The capacity to track line performance and spot process drifts before they result in problems using statistical methods (SPC).
Integrated Knowledge: Understanding the relationship between PCBAs and plastic components (from the injection molding process), especially in In-Mould Electronics (IME) applications.
Experience: 2 to 4 yrs
