Advanced Mechanical Hand Tool Mastery: Full physical dexterity and proficiency with fundamental mechanical workshop tools, including scrapers, torque wrenches, hacksaws, engineering files, and tap handles.
Precision Metrology Bench Literacy: The ability to examine dimensional variables by hand using common workshop tools, such as feeler strips, thread pitches, dial test gauges, external/internal micrometers, and digital vernier calipers.
Blueprint Reading & limitations Literacy: A solid grasp of mechanical layout drawings, including the ability to read projection angles, part symbols, and fundamental engineering limitations, fittings, and clearance tolerances.
Basic Shop Machine Operation: The ability to properly operate localized production equipment, including manual band saws, drill presses, and industrial pedestal grinders.
