Job Description:
In order to guarantee that production goals are met as effectively as possible, the Deputy Manager of Injection Moulding is in charge of managing the moulding department's daily activities. This position entails overseeing the installation of intricate molds, leading a group of engineers and operators, and making sure that quality and safety regulations are strictly followed. Serving as a liaison between senior management and the shop floor, the Deputy Manager spearheads KAIZEN/Lean continuous improvement programs to cut cycle times and scrap rates.
Key Duties:
Plan and execute daily production schedules to meet customer demands while optimizing machine utilization and manpower allocation.
Monitor and fine-tune injection moulding parameters to achieve the "Golden Cycle" and reduce cycle times.
Oversee the preventive maintenance of injection moulding machines and ensure the Tool Room performs timely mould servicing.
Analyze defects such as flash, short shots, silver streaks, and sink marks; implement corrective and preventive actions to maintain low PPM levels.
Lead initiatives to reduce energy consumption, optimize material usage, and implement Lean Manufacturing tools like 5S and SMED for faster mould changes.
Manage, train, and mentor a large workforce, ensuring high morale and compliance with EHS protocols.
NPD Participate in mould trials for new products, providing feedback on technical feasibility and process stability during the pilot run
