Responsibilities:
Enter or update patient demographic data, such as name, birthdate, address, and insurance coverage information, accurately.
Insurance Verification: To avoid eligibility-related denials, make sure the patient's visit is associated with the appropriate insurance plan.
Modifier Application: Make sure payers are aware of the particular conditions of the service by correctly applying modifiers to codes.
Linkage: To prove medical necessity, make sure the right operation code is connected to the right diagnostic code.
Provider Matching: Verify that each line item has the appropriate "Rendering Provider" and "Referring Provider" recorded.
Batch balancing: Make sure that the total number of charges entered and the total number of encounters received from the clinic are equal by balancing the daily charge batches.
Compliance with HIPAA: Observe federal requirements regarding the absolute confidentiality of patient health information.
Soft Skills:
extreme focus on the details.
the capacity to perform repetitious tasks accurately every time.
excellent time management to fulfill batch deadlines every day.
Experience: 0 to 3 yrs
