Material Management: Fill hoppers with raw plastic granules or resins, then keep an eye on how color concentrates or additives are mixed according to the material formula.
Process Monitoring: To make sure production stays within predetermined bounds, continuously check machine parameters including temperature, pressure, and cycle time.
Quality Inspection: To find flaws like short shots, flash, warping, or sink marks, visually inspect and measure finished items on a regular basis.
Secondary Operations: Complete post-molding duties such as gate cutting, manual flash trimming, and basic assembly if necessary.
Troubleshooting: Report serious technical problems to the maintenance or toolroom teams after identifying minor machine faults or process irregularities.
Required Skills:
Technical literacy is the capacity to comprehend fundamental machine controls and adhere to technical job instructions or "Setup Sheets."
Defect Recognition: A keen eye for spotting typical plastic molding flaws and comprehending the underlying reasons for them.
Tool Proficiency: Knowledge of how to use simple hand tools like knives and nippers as well as measuring devices like gauges and calipers.
Physical Capability: The capacity to carry out repetitive operations in a warm production environment, stand for extended periods of time, and lift material bags weighing up to 25 kg.
