Job Description
Duties:
Drafting and Detailing: Produce thorough 2D technical drawings that include sections, elevations, floor plans, and intricate assembly drawings.
Design Modification: To preserve "As-Built" correctness, update and improve current drawings in response to engineer input, site surveys, or modification orders.
Standardization: Verify that all designs adhere to corporate and global guidelines for line weights, symbols, and annotations.
Cross-Functional Cooperation: To include different system components into a master layout, coordinate with mechanical, civil, or electrical experts.
Quantity Estimation: Help the procurement team by obtaining precise material specs and Bill of Quantities from CAD models.
Scaling and formatting: For superior printing and digital distribution, control viewport scales, plot styles, and layouts.
3D Modeling: To see intricate spatial configurations or parts, create simple 3D wireframes or solid models.
Focus Skills:
Software Mastery: Expertise in AutoCAD, especially Sheet Set Manager, Xrefs, and Dynamic Blocks.
Technical Knowledge: Proficient in geometric construction, tolerance analysis, and drafting principles.
Mathematical Skills: Accurate scaling and dimensioning require proficiency in spatial mathematics and trigonometry.
Communication: The capacity to translate spoken directions and crude sketches into engineering paperwork of a professional caliber.
