Responsibilities:
Database Design: Establish and manage relational database schemas to provide effective data structures and ideal normalization.
Complex Querying: To support application requirements and reporting, create and optimize high-performance T-SQL, PL/SQL, or PostgreSQL queries.
StoredProcedures & Triggers: To automate backend logic, create, test, and maintain stored procedures, views, functions, and triggers.
Performance Tuning: To lower latency and resource usage, do proactive "Query Tuning" with execution plans and indexing techniques.
ETL Procedures: Using programs like SSIS, Informatica, or Python scripts, create and execute ETL pipelines to transfer data across different systems.
Data Integrity & Security: To safeguard sensitive data and preserve referential integrity, use encryption techniques, constraints, and keys.
Reporting & BI Support: Work along with data analysts to produce intricate data sets for visualization programs such as Tableau, Power BI, or SSRS.
Required Skills:
Proficiency in at least one major SQL dialect is known as SQL Dialect Mastery.
Comprehensive knowledge of data partitioning for large-scale datasets and clustered/non-clustered indexes.
Data Modeling: Knowledge of Star/Snowflake schemas for data warehousing and expertise in Entity-Relationship (ER) modeling.
Troubleshooting: The capacity to identify and fix deadlocking, blocking, and locking problems in a multi-user setting.
Analytical Thinking: The ability to convert intricate business rules into logical SQL code.
Experience: 0 to 3 yrs
