Your Duties:
Program Development: Use sophisticated CAM software (such as Siemens NX, Mastercam, or SolidCAM) to create multi-axis programs for CNC mills, lathes, and turning centers.
CAD/CAM Integration: Import 3D models and specify cutting parameters, tool geometries, and work coordinate systems (WCS).
Process Optimization: Reduce tool changes and air-cutting time by analyzing component geometry to find the most effective order of operations.
Tooling & Fixture Design: To guarantee steady work-holding during intricate machining operations, specify the necessary cutting tools and create unique jigs or fixtures.
Simulation & Verification: Run virtual simulations of programs to detect and prevent tool collisions, gouges, or machine over-travel before the code reaches the shop floor.
Post-Processor Management: Make sure the CAM output is compatible with particular machine controllers (Fanuc, Haas, Heidenhain) by configuring and troubleshooting post-processors.
