Your Duties:
Product Testing and Inspection: Verify that components adhere to the Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) by conducting in-process audits and first- and last-off inspections.
Identification of Defects: Identify and address typical injection molding flaws such short shots, sink marks, silver streaks, and jetting.
Metrology & Calibration: Check part dimensions against technical drawings using precision tools (Vernier calipers, micrometers, CMM, and VMM).
Process Validation: Oversee the PPAP paperwork for new launches and help validate new molds (T0, T1, and T2 trials).
Statistical Process Control (SPC): Use control charts (X-bar and R charts) to track production stability, spot trends, and stop non-conformities before they happen.
Root Cause Analysis: Use the 8D or 5-Why methodologies to conduct investigations into internal rejections or customer complaints in order to put long-lasting corrective measures into place.
