Responsibilities:
Database design ensures effective data storage and retrieval by developing and maintaining logical and physical data models.
Query Development: To support application functionality and reporting, write and improve intricate T-SQL or PL/SQL queries, views, and joins.
Stored Procedures & Triggers: Create and improve stored procedures, functions, and triggers to automate tedious operations and implement database-level business rules.
Performance tuning: Use query refactoring, indexing techniques, and execution plans to keep an eye on database performance and adjust "slow" queries.
ETL Procedures: Using programs like SSIS, Informatica, or Python, create and execute ETL processes to transfer and modify data between various systems.
Data Migration: Oversee data migration initiatives, guaranteeing minimal downtime and data consistency throughout system upgrades or transitions.
Security & Compliance: To safeguard sensitive data and guarantee adherence to laws like GDPR or HIPAA, use role-based access controls (RBAC), data encryption, and masking.
Backup & Recovery: Help DBAs oversee database backup and recovery plans to guard against data loss in the case of a system breakdown.

Experience: 0 to 3 yrs
