Your Duties:
Patient Registration: Provide the Practice Management (PM) system with the patient's full demographic information, such as name, date of birth, address, social security number, and employment.
Insurance Capture: Make sure that payer IDs and group numbers are recorded precisely as they appear on the insurance card by accurately recording primary, secondary, and tertiary insurance information.
Guarantor Information: For patients or minors with third-party liability, locate and enter the guarantor information (the person who will be paying the bill).
Eligibility Verification: To make sure the insurance entered is active for the specified date of service, use integrated clearinghouse capabilities to do eligibility checks in real-time.
Error correction: Fix "Front-end Edits" or "Registration Holds" that the system has identified as a result of erroneous insurance formatting, mismatched names, or invalid zip codes.
