Creator Of Comedy Vehicle Needs Driver (Writer) - Price: $0

Ad # 967680
Hello, I am David C. Brannon- humorist, artist, creator...but not so much of a writer. I'm not too lazy, just a bit learning disabled and completely self educated...true, I could've had a better teacher. Suffice to say, I consider myself to be only semiliterate. Long drafts are more than daunting for me. I will not use AI or correcting programs because they do not understand the suspension of reality of the sake of comedy. This is why I seek a writer/partner.
Completely disregarding my lack of literary skill, I have written a comedy series manuscript (copyrighted of course). It's crafted to be multimedia friendly, consisting of five short stories, loosely chronicling the occupational life of a fantasy minded nice guy, his crew, a necessary job, and a lot of crazy, topsy-turvey, hilarious happenings one hundred years into the future. It's a little bit like the Simpsons mixed with Futurama while sprinkling some John Candy on the main character. Farce + endearing= sellable. So with that...
Retaining full credit for their work, I need a writer who is familiar with the comedy of Mel Brooks (slap-cheese), John Cleese (expression/overreactions-"lost in own world" characters), and the team of Rob Grant - Doug Naylor (lilt-style). A familiarity with the BBC production of Red Dwarf is strongly recommended. The task and goal: to finalize existing outlines/drafts with me- which are complete, to create their own stories for the series based on existing format and criteria, and to help me bring other creative disciplines into the team (graphic artists, script, production, promotion, maybe the ghost of Alan Ladd Jr.).
This is a grass roots, basement floor-entry level, have faith in the story, starve until we don't, project. There is no money- offered, paid or otherwise until we sell it.
