Applicants must have at least 5 credit passes in WAEC, SSCE, NECO, or GCE O’Level at not more than two sittings, including Mathematics, English Language, Chemistry, Physics and Biology. Combination of WAEC and NECO, WAEC and WAEC, or NECO and NECO is acceptable. However, NABTEB cannot be combined with WAEC or NECO or another NABTEB. The full accreditation visit is carried out by the Council at the request of the School indicating that the recommendations by the advisory team have been fully implemented.

The School, if found qualified will be awarded an interim/provisional accreditation status for a period of two (2) years only.

Upon the above authorities of the council, on last Wednesday Dec.13th 2023, history was made as the management, staff and students of Imo State College of Nursing Sciences Orlu, ICONS, joyfully received a high profile NMCN delegation team for the final accreditation of the institution.

However on the occasion of the 2023 NMCN Accreditation tour at the school, the ICONS Provost, Mrs.Hannah Chigereokwum Offor, who the led the visitors from NMCN to a facility tour of the citadel of learning, expressed satisfaction with the heights of academic achievements and breakthroughs so far recorded by the school under her watch.
