Key Historical Milestones:
1988: Established via Anambra State Government Edict No. 10, sharing premises with the former General Hospital, Nnewi.
1991: Commissioned and renamed Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital.
1991: Expanded to include annexes like the Guinness Eye Hospital, Onitsha.
1997: Centre of Community/Primary Health Care, Ukpo was commissioned.
Expansion: The hospital is undergoing massive development at its permanent site in Akamilli Umodin to alleviate overcrowding and enhance modern healthcare services.)
