Imo State College of Nursing Sciences, Orlu came into existence in 2013 as a Department of General Nursing of the then Imo State College of Nursing & Health Sciences, Amaigbo.

Following an enabling law enacted by the Imo state House of Assembly, the state government in 2016 demerged and gave autonomy to this Department of Nursing into becoming Imo State College of Nursing Sciences, Orlu.

The College was granted full accreditation in 2018 by the Nursing & Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) for the award of Registered Nurse (RN) certificate to deserving students upon graduation.

Imo State College of Nursing Sciences, Orlu has achieved tremendous transformation and speedy progress in all facets. Most importantly, we have recorded hundred percent pass in council examinations consistently which gave our graduates the desired impetus in Nigerian labour market and across the globe.

Our current provost Mrs. Hannah Chigereokwum Offor has demonstrated unwavering administrative and leadership proficiency in galvanizing the staff cum students towards attainment of set goals in-line with the vision of the state government in accordance with the regulatory body.
