The College came into being after the enactment of Law No 34 of 2018. This led to the marger of College of Nursing Kafanchan, College of Midwifery Tudun wada Kaduna. The Law also allowed for the creation of a Campus at Pambegua to train Nurses. Consequently, the College operates a Multi Campus system.

Presently, the college has the following campuses Tudun wada Kaduna, Kafanchan and Pambegua.

REQUIREMENT FOR THE THREE YEARS GENERAL NURSING PROGRAMME

Applicants must have at least 5 credit passes in WAEC, SSCE, NECO, or GCE O’Level at not more than two sittings, including Mathematics, English Language, Chemistry, Physics and Biology. Combination of WAEC and NECO, WAEC and WAEC, or NECO and NECO is acceptable. However, NABTEB cannot be combined with WAEC or NECO or another NABTEB. AIMS

The aim of this programme is to prepare competent, skilled, versatile and independent Nursing and Midwifery practitioners, who are capable of providing high level health care to Individuals and expectant families in the homes, communities, health centres, hospitals and clinics in the rural and urban centres of the society.

Core Mandate

A.) Provide courses of study, training and research in General Nursing, Midwifery and Public Health Nursing, `either singly or in affiliation with other Institutions and Universities, award diploma certificates, under-graduate and post-graduate degrees as may be accredited by relevant regulatory bodies.

B.) Provide for:

(i) Continuing Education in all specializations relevant to nursing and midwifery;

(ii) Nursing, Midwifery and Science Curriculum Development.
