Recently, the Kogi State College of Nursing and Midwifery was granted approval to run HND Program in Nursing.

*Henceforth, admission into HND Nursing will be done via JAMB. Students who wish to study HND Nursing will have to sit for JAMB Examinations and pick the institution as one of their choices. Note that for this year and even in subsequent year, JAMB Results meeting the cutoff mark is all that is required to be qualified for admission.

* The approval was granted by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) after meeting the standards set for accreditation.

*Graduates from the institution will henceforth be enrolled for the mandatory National Youth Service Scheme to serve the nation.

* The duration of the program is for 4 years while the 5th year will be used for internship when the students will also be paid after which they will be mobilized for NYSC. Graduates will possess HND Nursing as well as either Midwifery or Public Health, depending on the choice of the students. T
REQUIREMENT FOR THE THREE YEARS GENERAL NURSING PROGRAMME

Applicants must have at least 5 credit passes in WAEC, SSCE, NECO, or GCE O’Level at not more than two sittings, including Mathematics, English Language, Chemistry, Physics and Biology. Combination of WAEC and NECO, WAEC and WAEC, or NECO and NECO is acceptable. However, NABTEB cannot be combined with WAEC or NECO or another NABTEB.
