Job Description
Duties:
Installation and Commissioning: Assemble new HVAC systems, making sure that all parts adhere to manufacturer and building code requirements. This includes compressors, evaporators, condensers, and ducting.
Preventive maintenance: To increase the lifespan of equipment and avoid unexpected failures, follow regular service plans that include cleaning coils, changing filters, monitoring refrigerant levels, and lubricating moving parts.
Diagnostic Troubleshooting: To find mechanical, electrical, or refrigerant-related issues in malfunctioning units, use gauges, leak detectors, and multimeters.
Refrigerant Management: Make sure there are no ozone-depleting material leaks by strictly adhering to environmental rules during "Gas Charging" and recovery.
Electrical Controls: Check and fix PCB controllers, thermostats, contactors, and relays; troubleshoot high-voltage power supply and low-voltage control wiring.
Ducting & Airflow: To guarantee uniform air distribution and ideal static pressure, check air ducts for leaks or obstructions, balance dampers, and modify fan speeds.

Focus Skills:
Technical versatility: a thorough comprehension of basic thermodynamics and the refrigeration cycle (compression, condensation, expansion, and evaporation).
The capacity to read and comprehend architectural floor plans, electrical wiring diagrams, and HVAC schematics is known as blueprint literacy.
Tool Proficiency: Skillful operation of anemometers, brazing torches, manifold gauges, recovery machines, and vacuum pumps.
Physical agility is the ability to move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), climb ladders, and work in cramped areas (crawl spaces, attics).
The ability to apply a methodical elimination procedure to determine the underlying reason of "poor cooling" or "abnormal noise"
