Job Title: Head – Purchase

Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Salary Range: ₹80,000 – ₹90,000 per month

Experience: 10 to 12 Years

Qualification: B.E / B.Tech (Mechanical / Electrical / Production or related field)

Shift Timing: General Shift

Designation: Head – Purchase

Industry Background: Manufacturing / Engineering / Industrial preferred

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery timelines.

Lead the procurement of raw materials, components, consumables, and capital equipment.

Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers for long-term partnerships.

Negotiate contracts, price terms, and service agreements to achieve cost savings.

Monitor supplier performance, lead audits, and enforce compliance with quality and delivery standards.

Collaborate closely with production, quality, finance, and stores departments.

Manage inventory levels and ensure timely procurement to avoid stockouts or overstocking.

Implement and optimize ERP-based procurement processes.

Prepare MIS reports and present purchasing KPIs to senior management.

Drive continuous improvement in sourcing and supplier management practices.
