Job Description:
Responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, tools, and services needed for production. Ensures timely delivery, cost-effectiveness, and supplier compliance with quality standards.
Experience: 2 to 5 years
Industry: Manufacturing / Engineering / Automotive / Electrical
Location: Chennai or surrounding industrial zones
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and issue purchase orders (POs) based on requisitions
Source vendors and obtain competitive quotations
Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery timelines
Maintain supplier database and purchase records
Coordinate with stores, production, and accounts for GRN & invoice processing
Skills & Requirements:
Diploma / Degree in Mechanical, EEE, or any relevant field
Good knowledge of purchase cycles and vendor management
Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Tally, or similar)
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Salary Range (Chennai): ₹15,000 – ₹30,000/month
(Based on experience and qualifications)
