Job Description:
As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing mechanical components and systems related to lifts and material handling equipment. With your expertise in mechanical design and problem-solving skills, you will contribute to the development of innovative and efficient solutions. Have to co-ordinate from enquiry to engineering to output delivery for manufacturing. You will have the opportunity to work with cross-functional teams and take projects from concept to completion.
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, structural design, and motion systems.
Proficiency in SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD.
Understanding of manufacturing processes, sheet metal, and automation system integration.
Ability to handle projects from concept to production independently.
Good communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop mechanical components and systems for:
2W Automatic Parking Platforms
Material Handling AMRs
Study customer enquiries, understand functional needs, and propose feasible design concepts.
Prepare 3D models, manufacturing drawings, BOMs using SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD.
Coordinate with technology partners to understand their designs and translate into workable in-house solutions.
Support procurement, production, and fabrication teams by providing accurate drawings and clarifications.
Gradually internalize the design function, aiming for full in-house capability within a year
Conduct technical feasibility studies and cost-effective design proposals.
Review and update designs based on prototype trials and field performance.
Ensure timely release of drawings as per project plan.
