Job Description

Qualification: BE(Mech) with 3 to 7 yrs of experience in Creo / Solidworks software proficiency, Manufacturing process knowledge, Structural and Machine design knowledge, Engineering drawing knowledge etc.,

Skill Set:

1) Heavy structural system design: Selection of structural members for dynamic system

2) Metallurgy knowledge: Selection of material for different kind of environment and load applications.

3) Metrology: Knowledge on measurements and Inspection methods to verify the system requirements

4) Knowledge on surface treatment, heat treatment, welding, machines and machining.

5) Knowledge on Drive selection for the application : Geardrives , Belts drives, Screw drives etc.

6) Knowledge on Actuator selection for the application : Hydraulic actuator

7) Machine design Experience on Mechanical Calculation of various Loads / Forces, Moments, Reaction loads, etc.

8) Sheet metal enclosures Basics of Manufacturing processes

9) Standard components selection: Gearbox, coupling, pulley etc.

10) GD&T, Drawing basics and principles Attitude to learn by exploring, apply new concepts & technologies, continuous improvements

11) Fluid piping design.

Scope Of Work:
To design the Mechanical systems for Defense and Aerospace applications, including Antennas, Radar systems, Rugged electronics and systems which may require to lift, rotate, transport various systems.
To work on dynamic loads including structural and thermal, linkages and related computation calculations, etc.
To design the above mentioned systems to suit for the structural / thermal requirements, and do preliminary analysis for verification.
To gather and finalize the requirements prior to any new design. Perform FMEA and Risk assessment at every stage of the design development process.
To involve with cross functional team to get the development activities to progress
To project manage own projects for the precision time lines & deliverable to suit Project management schedules
To co-ordinate / get work done with peers and junior Engineers for timely commitment
To prepare Manufacturing drawings/models, Assembly instructions for the designed systems
To optimize the design for continuous improvement, cost reduction, process improvements, etc.
