4Serious times require idiocy. It's the raucous, topsy-turvy short story debut of: The Adventures of Lou Kemp-Space Scrapman©! Story One-Lunching Your Company.
"Space is dangerous. So then, who let this bunch into orbit?!" -H. Floyd, Chief Inspector, S.C.R.A.P.
It's 2130. That's the year, not military time. The use of space for industry, exploration and tourism has been increasing rapidly. Getting in the way of these lucrative markets are thousands of junk satellites and stations. These hazards must be removed. After all, somebody could get killed! In steps Lou Kemp. He has just bought into the satellite removal business. But only just.
The Earth is encircled by a myriad of derelict satellites and stations. Their accumulating masses now pose a threat to all. An agency was created to deal with this problem: the Space Clearing, Restoring, and Preservation Agency. Otherwise known by the acronym: S.C.R.A.P. Contracted through S.C.R.A.P. are many privately owned and operated removal companies. Our hero's ship and small crew are one of these. Each installment chronicles the jobs and adventures of a simple man and his small group of coworkers. Though it mostly takes place in space, it's not science fiction. It is alternatively humor first, never really science, with plenty of fiction. There is action and adventure, drama, heart, and of course fun and farce. But no hard cursing, blood, real violence, or sex. Though there is some swearing, danger, fisticuffs, minor injury, fear of death, and maybe later a misguided romance for good measure. In general, the stories are about a small group of people, their chosen profession, and a vehicle to drive the funny around in.
Mature Teen to Immature Adult
Printed Hard Copy, standard 11 x 8.5 paper. 3-hole no binder. Pick up/Ship (calculated upon your zip), USPS padded envelope.
Cash or PayPal- (PayPal add $.50 = $7.50)
